Responsible journalism is one of the most important functions of a free society, and this is crucial for every journalist to understand. As a reporter, it is my job to make sure viewers are informed, people are honest, and communities are brought together by means of creative storytelling. Being a journalist is more than pointing a camera and shooting. It is looking beyond the footage and finding a meaning. It is battling ignorance every day by exposing all angles of a subject. It is telling the stories that will make a difference.
I am a Phoenix native and will soon graduate from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I am a broadcast journalism major and political science minor who was taught multimedia journalism through classes, internships and experience.

As an anchor and reporter with Cronkite NewsWatch, a live 30-minute broadcast that airs on PBS daily, I shoot, write and edit stories on day-turns and deadlines. I was chosen to cover the Democratic National Convention, which required me to produce stories in Charlotte that would air the same day on our show in Phoenix. My work from the convention, as well as with NewsWatch in general, was passed along to local television stations.

Reporting is my passion, and I look forward to seeing where it takes me.
